2008 Week Eleven Power Rankings

1   Tennessee (10-0) Well, that was a close call against an undermanned Jacksonville team. It makes you wonder if the pressure of being undefeated is getting to them.
2   New York Giants (9-1) They're getting better and better each week. Don't be surprised if they leapfrog the Titans even if Jeff Fisher's bunch doesn't lose.
3   Indianapolis (6-4) The Houston defense is pretty bad, but for the first time this year, Peyton and the entire offense appeared to be on top of their game.
4   Pittsburgh (7-3) I agree with Willie Parker. Pittsburgh needs to go back to "Steeler football", especially with Big Ben looking frazzled in the pocket.
5   Carolina (8-2) One thing's for certain, they have the third-best running game in the league behind the Titans and Giants.
6   Tampa Bay (7-3) With Earnest Graham going down for the year and Warrick Dunn being nicked up, Cadillac Williams is coming back at just the right time.
7   Dallas (6-4) Why did it take this long for Wade Phillips to give Marion Barber the ball?
8   New York Jets (7-3) OK, OK, Jets' fans, are you happy? I'm finally a believer. Of course, they'll probably fall a little after losing to the Titans this week.
9   Washington (6-4) All of the sudden, this defense is really getting pushed around.
10   New England (6-4) I was a little skeptical about Jerod Mayo when he came out of Tennessee, but this guy is a player.
11   Denver (6-4) They'll move up when I see a little more consistency.
12   Arizona (7-3) I'm beginning to think that by the end of the year, the Cardinals may be the second best team in the NFC.
13

Philadelphia (5-4-1) I'm sorry, but I can't help but drop them this far for playing as poorly as they did against the Bengals. That was just inexcusable.
14   San Diego (4-6) I've never seen a defense miss one player more than the Chargers miss Shawne Merriman.
15   Jacksonville (4-6) If the Jags are to get back to the playoffs, David Garrard has to play to his 2007 form....quickly.
16   Baltimore (6-4) No, the Ravens' defense isn't that bad. The Giants are just that good.
17   Miami (6-4) When you look at the roster, you can't help but wonder how they're doing it.
18   Atlanta (6-4) Of their six remaining games, I can only see one in which they'll be the favorite (against St. Louis). Don't be surprised if they go into a slide here.
19   Green Bay (5-5) That win not only saved their season, but also gave them a huge leg up in a very mediocre NFC North.
20   Buffalo (5-5) There's no doubt in my mind that Trent Edwards is experiencing long lasting effects from his concussion.
21   Minnesota (5-5) There are going to be games in which the Vikings will need Gus Frerotte to make a play. Unfortunately, he hasn't done it yet.
22   New Orleans (5-5) The Saints have found a star in Lance Moore. Even with Colston back, he's still Drew Brees' favorite target.
23   Chicago (5-5) How do you play like that in a big game that will play a large role in how the division shakes out? The Bears didn't even show up
24   Cleveland (4-6) Well, it wasn't pretty, but Brady Quinn got his first win. In the process, he made some very important throws.
25   Houston (3-7) I'll bet that Gary Kubiak is getting really sick and tired of the term, "moral victory."
26   San Francisco (3-7) With his antics and the effect Mike Singletary's already had on this team, they'll be very interesting to watch for the rest of the season.
27   Seattle (2-8) Sure, Matt Hasselbeck was rusty, but when will the Seahawks learn that they have to get at least one receiver who can catch the ball.
28   Kansas City (1-9) Tyler Thigpen is getting better, but I would be very disappointed if the Chiefs don't look seriously at the quarterback situation this offseason.
29   Oakland (2-8) Why would any coach in his right mind take this job?
30   Cincinnati (1-8-1) I moved them up a spot because, unlike the Eagles, at least they knew that an NFL game could end in a tie.
31   St. Louis (2-8) Don't let the stats fool you, the Rams were out of that game about five minutes after kickoff.
32   Detroit (0-10) I don't know what organization is in worse shape - Ford or the Lions. At least the auto industry might be bailed out by the government.
