| The 2007 Season: New
England Will Dominate Even after winning the Super Bowl, Peyton Manning and the Colts still can't get out of the long shadows cast by the Patriots. In addition to losing some of their key defensive personnel, the moves made by Bill Belichick and company in free agency made this one of the more predictable season's in recent memory. An already excellent team with the best coaching staff in the league that adds the most versatile defensive player in the last 15 years, two Pro Bowl caliber wide receivers, and a third that doubles as a special teams player that any team would want, simply cannot be viewed as anything but the favorite to win the last meaningful game of the year in Phoenix. As a matter of fact, it won't even be close. As for the individual awards, look for Tom Brady to overcome Peyton Manning and win the Most Valuable Player award. He's made average wide receivers look very good, imagine what he'll do with Randy Moss and Donte Stallworth. Manning won't go home empty-handed though, after winning his second NFL Offensive Player of the Year award. On the defensive side, Tommy Harris, the defensive tackle for Chicago, was well on his way to winning last year until an injury derailed his bid. This year, he'll win after another year of being the most disruptive interior lineman in the league. The Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Year will be Adrian Peterson and Patrick Willis, respectively, and the Coach of the Year award will go to Gary Kubiak. Now, let's fill in the blanks.....
